LOCATION: EASTLEIGH

Skoolkit is a leading independent retailer of school uniform. We are looking for energetic individuals to join us for a fast-paced and lively summer season. The Summer Holidays are our busiest time of year, and we are looking to recruit new team members to offer customer support at our busy warehouse in Eastleigh. The roles are varied and could include responding to emails and telephone calls to keep customers updated and informed, picking, packing and processing customer orders for our busy on-line service. Those applying for these roles will require to demonstrate good customer service skills and be able to compose emails and handle telephone calls in a professional manner, so a good command of spoken and written English is essential. You should also be physically fit, enthusiastic, reliable and possess good timekeeping skills.

EVENING PICKING SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: EASTLEIGH

HOURS: Total 25 hours per week with normal hours Sunday - Thursday 5pm - 10pm, however additional hours will be required during our busy back-to-school period.

SALARY: £9.75 per hour + Shift Allowance

Skoolkit is a leading independent supplier of school wear, with stores in Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Fareham, Havant, Totton and Newbury.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager the successful candidate must have experience of working in a warehouse in a supervisory role. You will be required to supervise a small team of warehouse picking personnel to ensure the provision of a professional dispatch service to our retail shops and customers, update the stock system, encompassing safety, speed and accuracy. The successful candidate must be physically fit, enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, flexible and possess good timekeeping skills. Extra hours will be expected in our “Back to School” period and the ability to work under pressure at this time will be an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide leadership by establishing and displaying personal high standards, clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.
  • Picking and packing stock.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that colleagues give appropriate regard for the appearance of the product and that service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards.
  • Ensure that all orders are picked accurately.
  • Ensure system stock system is updated accurately.
  • Ensure the productivity of pick team colleagues to ensure an efficient, accurate and effective pick with the objective of meeting service delivery targets/deadlines.
  • In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, organise activities & delegate tasks working closely with the Warehouse Manager to train new and existing employees, through being a mentor and providing coaching.
  • Monitor and feedback performance and conduct issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety best practices, rules and regulations are known by colleagues and adhered to.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Ability to work quickly and often under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Positive and professional approach to duties, colleagues and management.
  • Ability to follow instructions and to lead, inspire and motivate others.
  • Time management skills; with the ability to organise others.
  • Ability to provide instructions/guidance and communicate information in a timely manner.
  • Previous experience with stock software preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • In depth understanding of picking/packing, warehousing/logistics in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous Supervisor/Team Leader work experience essential.
  • Be able to use own initiative and demonstrate intelligent judgment.
  • Possess good maths and literacy skills.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including regular lifting of medium to heavy loads, climbing of ladders and use of cherry picker trucks.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
  • One year’s experience as a Supervisor/Team Leader.
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be eligible to work in the UK and provide documentation to support this. Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment, with moderate noise. Some uniform provided and we offer free on-site parking.

WAREHOUSE ORDER PICKERS
LOCATION: SKOOLKIT WAREHOUSE, CHICKENHALL LANE, EASTLEIGH
SALARY: NLW + shift allowance
Permanent and Temporary positions available

Hours Required
Permanent: Sunday-Thursday 5pm-10pm however additional hours will be required during our busy back-to-school period.
Temporary: Various shifts available early morning, afternoon, evening and weekend.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pick and pack orders using a voice activated pick module and put them into the goods outwards bay, in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Report shortages on inventory levels for replenishment.
  • Manage your time effectively in order to achieve the pick figure targets, deadlines and standards set out by Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
  • Stock control with IT based systems.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory levels and bin locations.
  • Work towards daily targets and have a low pick error rate.
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards.
  • Other duties as required which will include light and heavy lifting.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Possess basic administrative skills, and good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • It is essential that you are PC literate as accurate data entry will be required.
  • Ability to clearly follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to lift and carry medium to heavy loads.

SALES ASSISTANT PART-TIME
LOCATION: Havant
SALARY: £9.05 at age 23+

We currently have a permanent position available for immediate start at our Havant branch. The successful candidates should ideally have some retail experience, be well presented and approachable, punctual and flexible. Extra hours will be expected in our “Back to School” period and the ability to work under pressure at this time will be an advantage.

  • Serving customers
  • Operating tills
  • Processing cash and credit card transactions
  • Ensuring the shop counter is always manned
